You rest a fingertip on the sensor and the reading takes seconds, without breaking the skin. Our proprietary platform turns that reading into a biomarker estimate. Clinical validation studies are currently underway.
How accurate is SmartCemic compared to traditional blood tests?⌄
SmartCemic is designed to target ±5% accuracy aligned with ISO 15197:2013 standards. Clinical validation studies are currently underway as part of our FDA review process. For HbA1c, we are targeting ±0.3% correlation with laboratory HPLC methods.
Does skin tone affect measurement accuracy?⌄
No. SmartCemic is designed to work across all 10 Monk skin tones (I-X). The platform is calibrated across the full range of skin tones so readings stay consistent from person to person.
How is my health data protected?⌄
Your data is protected with bank-level security. We use AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. SmartCemic is fully HIPAA compliant with SOC 2 Type II certification. You own your data and can export or delete it at any time. We never sell your health information.
Can I share my data with my healthcare provider?⌄
Yes! SmartCemic supports FHIR R4 and HL7 standards for seamless integration with Electronic Health Records (EHR). You can generate shareable reports, export data in PDF or CSV formats, or enable direct integration with your provider's system.
What is the FDA status of SmartCemic?⌄
NorCemic filed a Breakthrough Device Designation (BDD) Request with FDA CDRH in April 2026 for SmartCemic under the 21st Century Cures Act. FDA response expected within 60 days. We are building quality management systems designed to comply with FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 medical device quality standards.
